Tim is a multi-instrumentalist performer, producer, composer and tutor based just outside Edinburgh, specialising in Drum Kit, Trombone and Tuned Percussion. As well as writing and producing his own music as LANES, he collaborates with various bands and projects, educational projects, teaches one to one and runs a project recording studio from home.
Tim has played/plays drums and/or trombone/percussion with various projects including Hidden Orchestra, Jemima Thewes, Awry, SiNK, Bella Hardy, Orkestra del Sol, The Loveboat Big Band, Horndog Brass Band, The Ruffness, The Kai Big Band, Eliza Carthy, Amanda Palmer, Nathanial Slade & The Dragons, Paul Reynolds aka Ting Jin, Bob Hilary & the Massive Mellow, Lipsync for a Lullaby and Tinderbox.
Tim grew up north west of London, receiving both a classical and general broad musical training; moved to Scotland in 2000 and by 2004 had completed a degree in music at Edinburgh Uni. Since then Scotland has become home.
