The Landing, the new Spaceship area this year at Kelburn Garden Party, featuring the Chapel Perilous Tetrasonic Art System, and the AV extravaganzas of Adventures In Light was epic! What a weekend…thank you Kelburn. To open the stage on Friday I tried out my latest instrumental dub offering in the form of a BoneyKitSteppa set. However through the night the wind n rain got more n more mental until at dawn on the Saturday disaster struck and the wind persuaded the spaceship to try and take off, pretty much ripping it apart! We could have given up, and closed the stage for the weekend but personally I really wanted to rinse out live jungalistic drums with Jonboy aka DJ Recypher as the headline show on the Saturday night!! So with the help of the wonderful Cornish high-grade canvas massive (Thankyou Anna, Kelly, Will & Monk…legends!) we popped a new lid on the spaceship and got on with the show! Back on track for the evening session, finishing up after La La and the Boo Ya with the new Chap P outfit with DJ Recypher on the Dex, Calzy Easter on FXs, u’res truly on live drums with our very special guest MC Conscious Route! Just about made it through to do a couple of gigs with the beautiful Jemima Thewes up the glen and on the pyramid stage on the sunday… All in all a great weekend….LONG LIVE KELBURN!
